Cultivating Future Talents: The DNTS School-Work Alternation Projects

A longstanding tradition of collaboration with local schools and a focus on engaging the DNTS community drives the success of the company’s School-Work Alternation Programs.

Since 2016, DNTS has been dedicated to nurturing future professionals through its School-Work Alternation Projects, known in Italy as “Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento” (PCTO). These programs, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional world, have been offered on an annual basis, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic. DNTS works with local schools to give students, including the children and acquaintances of employees, valuable hands-on experience.

The PCTO initiative reflects DNTS’s values of community engagement, education, and collaboration. This year, 15 students from local schools and institutes of Turin participated in two-week sessions starting in mid-June. They learned about various departments such as Quality, Logistics, Finance & Administration and Marketing, and visited the Poirino plant.

Inclusion is a key feature of DNTS’s PCTO program, with a focus on students who are employees’ children or acquaintances. This approach promotes a family-friendly work environment, which strengthens the relationship between the company and its employees.

The local HR department extends its gratitude to all colleagues who contributed to the program’s success, ensuring an enriching and memorable experience for the students. DNTS remains committed to preparing students for future opportunities while reinforcing its strong ties to the local community.

DNTS launches a “Diabetes Screening Initiative” for its associates

An initiative promoting health and wellness among DENSO associates across several DNTS locations in Italy

From June 26 to July 2, 2024, DENSO THERMAL SYSTEMS (DNTS) has successfully completed a diabetes screening initiative at its Poirino, Avellino, and Cassino sites. Aimed at safeguarding employee health and well-being, the initiative received great support and participation among DNTS associates.

The initiative was launched in response to last year’s Employee Engagement Survey, which revealed a strong interest among DNTS associates in preventive health measures and wellness activities. The survey underscored a demand for opportunities to promote a healthy lifestyle, and DNTS responded promptly with tangible actions.

During the screening days, numerous associates had the opportunity to undergo tests for the early detection of diabetes, a crucial step in preventing and managing this condition. The screening, which was organized in partnership with an external company, facilitated all interested associates to take a quick glycated hemoglobin test. This test, whose reliable results are not influenced by food intake during the day, helped identify cases of diabetes and a strong predisposition to developing the disease.

DNTS attributed the success of the initiative to the active support and engagement of its associates. The initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to ongoing health and wellness programs as well as fostering a culture of proactive health management.

Looking ahead, the company’s plan for future initiatives will be aimed at further enhancing the overall well-being of the workforce, underscoring its dedication to creating a supportive and health-conscious work environment.

The management of DNTS extends its gratitude to all associates for their continued support and participation and looks forward to an even greater participation in future activities.

Through these actions, DNTS reaffirms its active role in promoting health and wellness, demonstrating that the value of people is at the heart of its corporate mission.
