Celebrating Milestones: DNTS’s BU Aftermarket Marks 20 Years of Success

In March of last year, the employees of DNTS’s BU Aftermarket came together to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the BU’s inception. It was a special occasion, marking two decades of dedication, success, and passion.

The event took place on March 8th at the BU Aftermarket’s location in Poirino, located in the province of Turin. The celebration was filled with joy and gratitude as the team commemorated their journey of growth and achievement over the past twenty years. Approximately 100 people attended, demonstrating the strong bond and unity among the team members.

The BU Aftermarket was born from a strategic and daring vision of the management team over two decades ago. It was an entrepreneurial gamble that led DNTS to venture into the aftermarket business, a sector vastly different from its traditional realm of mass production. Today, it’s clear that this gamble has paid off handsomely. What began with fewer than 40 employees in 2004, operating out of a modest rented warehouse, has evolved into a team of approximately 100 individuals. Additionally, the BU boasts two international branches and hosts one of the largest automated warehouses in Europe. This remarkable success story owes much to the commitment and dedication of every team member.

Reflecting on the journey, it’s astounding to see the progress made. In the BU’s inaugural year of operation in March 2005, the turnover stood at 17 million euros. Fast forward twenty years, and that figure has nearly quadrupled, reaching approximately 67 million euros this year. Such outstanding growth underscores the team’s ability to adapt and thrive in a competitive market landscape.

The festivities were held at an external venue, creating a festive and convivial atmosphere. Throughout the evening, several colleagues delivered heartfelt speeches, reflecting on the company’s history and milestones. It was a moment for everyone to appreciate the achievements of the past and renew their commitment to future endeavors.

As the evening progressed, colleagues enjoyed a shared dinner, further fostering camaraderie and solidarity among the team. It was a time not only to celebrate commercial successes but also to cherish the special bonds that unite everyone within the BU.

In conclusion, the twentieth anniversary of the BU Aftermarket was an exceptional opportunity to celebrate past achievements while looking forward to a promising future. The team is grateful for the contributions of each member and eagerly anticipates the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

DNTS Gender-based Violence Prevention Course

Empowering Women: DNTS launches Gender-Based Violence Prevention Course

Following the celebration of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women on November 25, DNTS organized a series of prevention seminars that received an overwhelmingly positive response from associates.

In an effort to combat gender-based violence and empower its workforce, DNTS recently conducted a series of prevention seminars. The initiative aimed to raise awareness and equip participants with the essential skills to navigate potentially risky situations. The initiative followed the celebration of November 25th, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, during which DNTS management proactively raised awareness about gender-based violence. As part of this initiative, the company purchased and installed red benches, internationally recognized symbols of solidarity and commitment against gender-based violence.

The prevention seminars, led by experts in the field, focused on legal issues related to gender-based violence and provided practical advice on prevention and risk reduction. The overwhelmingly positive response from associates led to multiple editions of these seminars from January to early March 2024. The company received numerous requests for repeats, demonstrating the importance of such efforts.

The prevention seminars were led by Carmelo Alfio Samperi and Francesco Saccomanno, retired police officers with extensive experience in law enforcement and gender-based violence prevention. Samperi, a former Police Chief and Martial Arts Master, shared self-defense techniques tailored for women through the “Real System of Defense.” Saccomanno, a criminologist who specialized in Forensic Investigation, provided insights into legal remedies and profiling techniques related to stalking.

The seminars covered various aspects of gender-based violence prevention, including common risk situations and practical suggestions to avoid aggression. They also addressed crimes outlined in the “Red Code,” such as stalking and self-defense, with practical demonstrations to equip participants with some basic anti-aggression techniques.

Mr. Samperi and Mr. Saccomanno’s expertise undoubtedly contributed to the success of the seminars, with Samperi’s practical self-defense techniques and Saccomanno’s insights into legal remedies and profiling techniques empowering participants.

The overwhelming enthusiasm demonstrated by associates emphasizes the importance of initiatives focused on gender-based violence prevention, reflecting the urgency of addressing this pervasive issue. At the same time, it emphasizes the need for ongoing education and resources to combat gender-based violence.

The importance of such initiatives cannot be overstated, given the alarming prevalence of gender-based violence globally. By addressing this issue, DNTS demonstrates its commitment to fostering a safe and supportive work environment for all associates. However, DNTS’ commitment to creating a safe and inclusive workplace goes beyond this initiative. The company intends to launch additional projects aimed at combating violence and creating a safer, more equitable environment.

Moving forward, DNTS remains committed to promoting a culture of respect, safety, and inclusion, aligned with its dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I). As DNTS continues its efforts, it invites everyone to join in promoting workplaces that value diversity, equity, and inclusion, making a meaningful difference in creating safer communities and workplaces for all.

DNTS lights up Christmas with solidarity

A continuous commitment to community and scientific research

The holiday season at DENSO Thermal Systems is more than just a time for celebrating with loved ones; it signifies a special moment when the company and associates unwaveringly connect with the community and support research initiatives. In this context, DNTS has implemented numerous charitable initiatives in FY2023, anchoring its commitment to three fundamental pillars: solidarity, charity, and support for research.

Christmas in Solidarity: Supporting the Red Cross and Pink Phone

Among various acts of generosity, DNTS has allocated a substantial contribution to the local branch of the Italian Red Cross, endorsing their local initiatives and fostering the well-being of the community. Additionally, the company has taken a stand against gender-based violence, providing financial support to the Pink Phone in Turin and the Anti-Violence Center of Donna Sant’Angelo in Avellino. These associations are pivotal in defending women’s rights, offering support and guidance to victims of violence, thereby reinforcing DNTS’s commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I).

Supporting Research: Commitment against cancer and rare diseases

DNTS has demonstrated a robust commitment to the fight against cancer, making generous donations to the Italian Association against Leukemia, Lymphomas, and Myeloma (AIL) and the Italian Parents Union against Children’s Cancer (UGI).

Furthermore, the company has significantly contributed to the Italian Institute for Cancer Research in Candiolo, supporting oncological research in the Piedmont region. Their attention extends to research on rare diseases, with a recent donation to the Marco Pietrobono Onlus Association, dedicated to researching the cure for hereditary spastic paraparesis through the TREAT Project – SPG 11.

Attention to employees and children: Joy and Support

DNTS’s solidarity extends beyond the external community to embrace its employees and their families. Each employee, collaborator, and trainee received the traditional Christmas panettone and a bottle of sparkling wine—a gesture of gratitude and wishes for a peaceful holiday season. The company also cares for the little ones, allowing employees to choose a Christmas gift for their children and spreading joy and happiness during the festivities.

Moreover, DNTS has extended its solidarity to families in need by purchasing toys and Christmas gifts for children from local charity associations, supporting the Gallo Association, Family Home in Carmagnola, and the Sheltered Community of the Caritas Diocesan Association in Turin.

Finally, the Christmas season at DNTS is more than just a time for celebration; it is an opportunity to embody the company’s core values: solidarity, community care, and research support. This occasion not only strengthens the bonds between colleagues and families, but it also highlights DNTS’s profound social commitment. The company is notable for its generosity and accountability. DNTS emerges as an example of excellence not only in the industrial sector, but also in contributing to the creation of a more compassionate and attentive world.
