Cultivating Future Talents: The DNTS School-Work Alternation Projects

A longstanding tradition of collaboration with local schools and a focus on engaging the DNTS community drives the success of the company’s School-Work Alternation Programs.

Since 2016, DNTS has been dedicated to nurturing future professionals through its School-Work Alternation Projects, known in Italy as “Percorsi per le Competenze Trasversali e per l’Orientamento” (PCTO). These programs, designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional world, have been offered on an annual basis, with the exception of the COVID-19 pandemic. DNTS works with local schools to give students, including the children and acquaintances of employees, valuable hands-on experience.

The PCTO initiative reflects DNTS’s values of community engagement, education, and collaboration. This year, 15 students from local schools and institutes of Turin participated in two-week sessions starting in mid-June. They learned about various departments such as Quality, Logistics, Finance & Administration and Marketing, and visited the Poirino plant.

Inclusion is a key feature of DNTS’s PCTO program, with a focus on students who are employees’ children or acquaintances. This approach promotes a family-friendly work environment, which strengthens the relationship between the company and its employees.

The local HR department extends its gratitude to all colleagues who contributed to the program’s success, ensuring an enriching and memorable experience for the students. DNTS remains committed to preparing students for future opportunities while reinforcing its strong ties to the local community.
