In 2020, Thermal Management in Europe kicked off a special initiative, the “Accountability journey” aimed at enhancing Accountability skills and behaviors among the companies in order to further support Reborn 21 projects and initiatives.
What do we mean by “Accountability”?
In a Harvard Business Review article titled “The Right Way to Hold People Accountable” by Peter Bregman published in 2016, he mentioned that:
“Accountability is not simply taking the blame when something goes wrong.
It’s not a confession.
Accountability is about delivering on a commitment.
It’s responsibility to an outcome, not just a set of tasks.
It’s taking initiative with thoughtful, strategic follow-through.”

The journey started at Top Thermal level and has been cascaded to all Manufacturing companies according to 3 phases:

1) Goals design: 360° Accountability evaluation, definition of 5 local accountability goals based on Reborn 21 and related action plans

2) Goals Execution: Execution of the Action plan at company level

3) Results analysis: 360° Accountability evaluation and measurement of the achievement of the accountability goals. Company presentation of the results achieved and best practice sharing.
