DNTS offers pink parking spaces through its “Pink Initiative”
Pregnancy can be totally physically exhausting; a normal short walk from the car can turn into a journey across the parking lot to the office for some pregnant employees. Being aware of such situations for women employees, DENSO Thermal Systems Europe launched the “Pink Initiative,” a new initiative aimed at enhancing the comfort and safety of pregnant employees in the company.
Under this initiative, DNTS has established “Pink Parking,” internal parking space within the company that is designated exclusively for pregnant employees. With many employees continuing to work during pregnancy, the implementation of pink parking spaces in the company will help minimize the distance that they must travel to reach the workplace. This gives pregnant employees more safety and accessibility while promoting a culture of inclusiveness in the workplace.
At the Poirino Plant, seven indoor parking spaces have been allocated for Pink Parking, while there are three parking spaces reserved at the Avellino Plant.
The Pink Initiative is a wonderful and tangible way of showing DENSO’s continuous efforts to support women employees choosing to have children and ease one of the challenges that comes with working while pregnant.
